Serato DJ doesnā€™t offer even half of the DJay Pro functionalities, but it natively supports Soundswitch integration. Iā€™m not sure why itā€™s difficult to officially enable integration with Soundswitch, especially for professionals and DJay Pro users who would enjoy a fully scripted, synced light show using beatgrids.

Coming back into this.

My use case would have to be as much automation as possible. Just something to improve on the ā€˜Soundā€™ setting on my lights. That only uses a fraction of my lights capabilities and doesnā€™t sync colours and movements.

Im a mobile DJ. I just want something to up my lighting game as easily as possible. So an auto/AI mode. I know Iā€™d need some hardware. But I donā€™t have the time to spend hours and hours setting up and programming shows.

Wanted to throw my two cents in here and mention that we donā€™t need a fully fledged cushy UI for this. Just allow us to output MIDI and/or OSC signals on our hotcues and call it good. @BenjiMan is 100% correct here: focus on implementing open standards using a simple interaction ā€“ we donā€™t need a fully polished UI like the video mixer has ā€“ at least not yet. Just let us enter the MIDI/OSC commands and call it good.

I just want to reiterate the desires of everyone in this thread.
I am a mobile DJ who works solo for all my gigs, providing my own lights, and I would love to be able to make more extensive use of my lighting equipmentā€™s capabilities without having to use a seperate controller/system while djā€™ing.

Obviously something like Soundswitch integration (like other programs have) would be hugely appreciated so we could create our own shows for files, but as others have said Midi, OSC, or some kind of basic cueing would be sufficient.

I really enjoy DJ Pro, absolutely my favorite program for a variety of reasons, but I will likely transition to another program in the next year if there isnā€™t some kind of progress towards light system integration. Even a statement on the status of work towards light integration would be good enough, I just canā€™t continue to use the program if thereā€™s no indication that youā€™re trying to add what is becoming a basic function for the professional class of your user base.

+1 here, always loved DJAY, but will prob need to switch to VDJ because of lack of this support, i use DMX desktop

I totally agree. If we could get some kind of OSC / WebSocket we could build solutions that could use Djay data to feed into our lightning softwares. It would open so many possibilities and it would work great on every OS / device.

This is a really needed feature/integration and Iā€™m adding my vote to this request. This is going to be a definite game changer for lighting controls. The Ableton Link integration (with Soundswitch) is quite unreliable and often causes issues with the BPM of tracks playing on the current deck.

Aloriddim listens to the user community and weā€™ve seen a lot of feature updates following feedback, this would be a great feature upgrade for Djay Pro.

Hey @gizmo I share this same sentiment about the Ableton Link and its integration with SoundSwitch, it only gets you so far.

Please @Slak_Jaw this request has been going on for a while now and Iā€™m not sure how much interest and demand for it there has to be before itā€™s put on the roadmap or resources committed to it.

Just here to keep this thread alive and if anything, show that thereā€™s still a demand for it.

I couldnā€™t leave DJay pro for any other DJing software as it is now cos the feature set, the UI/UX is just well thought out.
