Hi, does anyone know if this 4 channel audio interface will work with djay? https://www.esi-audio.com/products/maya44usb+/

Sometimes I just want to take the tablet to use for requests that I don’t have in my library and do my main set on my Pioneer CD mixers. But when I use a splitter cable so I can use pre-cue the sound quality degrades a lot in mono so I was wondering if this MAYA44 4 channel audio interface will work so then I can use 2 channels for main out and 2 channels for headphones.

I have a Pioneer WeGo 4 controller which works fine but I don’t always want to use it, sometimes I just need the tablet on its own.

Any info on this @Slak_Jaw

Why not try it? You list the tablet, the interface and the software - plug it in and see.

It supports Core Audio so it is class compliant.

Like @PKtheDJ wrote try it but it think you can’t right now cause you wanna make sure before you buy it right?

Sorry I just realized you are using android

What’s an Oppo pad air? :joy:

I thought you meant iPad Air

I don’t know if it will work with your android device so I would reconsider this discontinued product that the manufacturer mentions everything except android. But hey it looks seriously discounted so you can take a chance

I would but I’ve not brought the audio interface yet, was trying to find out if it would work before buying it in case it doesn’t work.

Yes spot on I’m trying to find out if it will work before buying it!

The Oppo Pad Air is kind of a iPad copy by a chinese company called Oppo :joy:

It’s really good to be fair, I’ve tried lots of different tablets by Samsung and Lenovo etc. and none of them would work properly with a controller. They either had distorted audio or the pre-cue didn’t work. Then I read online about these Oppo tablets being good with audio so thought I’d give it a go and it works perfectly!

The chinese are getting really good at making (copying) stuff now :joy:

Yeah I might just have to take a chance and buy it and see… unless algoriddim can give a answer on it.

It’s really cheap by looking at the link you posted. It wouldn’t be a loss really.

In that case, you should not have stated…

Final decision is yours, but as there’s no mention of use with Android anywhere on the ESI site, it seems unlikely.

Hi @djsmoothe, sorry I can’t be of more help here. We do not have that device to test. I recommend that you reach out to the manufacturer support channel and ask them if it will work with Android tablets.
