I’m having a persistent problem mapping two Denon LC6000 units in djay Pro on macOS.
When both LC6000s are connected, djay Pro sees them as identical devices with the same name (“LC6000 PRIME”). Because of this, djay Pro automatically applies the same mapping file to both units, even if I create separate customized mappings.
Here is the issue:
• I duplicate the default LC6000 mapping in djay Pro and create two separate mappings (“LC6000 Deck A” and “LC6000 Deck B”).
• I then edit each mapping separately so each LC6000 should have different functions (for example: the Library Up/Down buttons).
• The problem is that djay Pro often mixes up the devices.
• The mapping I assign to Deck A randomly takes control of Deck B, or Deck B’s mapping controls Deck A.
• djay Pro seems to treat both units as the same hardware device and doesn’t reliably keep the mapping tied to the physical deck I intended.
• The physical LC6000s are working perfectly — the issue only happens with djay Pro’s mapping system.
• If I map other functions (not Library Up/Down), the buttons work. But the Library functions are the most likely to get crossed between the two LC6000s.
• Renaming LC6000s in macOS Audio MIDI Setup does not help, because djay Pro still reads them as identical devices with the same internal name and ID.
In short: djay Pro cannot reliably keep separate mappings for two identical LC6000 controllers, causing the mappings to randomly switch or override each other.
Has anyone found a reliable solution or workaround for using two identical LC6000 units with separate mappings in djay Pro?
