I’m wondering if it’s possible to remove duplicate versions of tracks automatically. I have numerous tracks that have exactly the same metadata but djay Pro AI still adds it as two different tracks. As you can imagine this gets very annoying when having a large library…
So I would like to suggest a feature which IF tracks have identical metadata and they are imported into your collection they are just automatically metered and or deleted? I think this would benefit the community. Thoughts guys?
Hey @joegannon27 - Welcome to the Community! Thanks for your first post.
This sounds like a great feature request, so I will move this post into the Suggestions section of our Community so others can chime in and even vote on the request.

It would be nice to have an easy way to remove duplicates , also the alert that you are adding a duplicate to the collection , right now i have a lot of duplicates and the way i found is to copy all the collection to one folder , then delete the entire collection and add again .. I think it should be easier . Thanks
Traktor handles this really well! Can right click any playlist and say “remove duplicates” and leaves only one version. I assume it goes by folder/filename.ext rather than same metadata
i’m step by step taking over from serato to djay. the import of serato playlist is top. serato is still my main software but the transition to djay is in progress. the problem is, that when I import the playlilst again and again, there are double files. so it would be top, that its way easier to delete them. by the way onlibrary is a total game changer and for me its such a massive tool to organize everything in djay pro. its just wow and the ultimate weapon for me, cause there are a lot of electronic only bookings, that I just use the USB sticks. this was so annoying in the past and now, its only dope!!!
