Edit: FIXED in v5.5 Update! Djay Keeps Re-Analyzing Analyzed Songs - Delays to Draw Waveform/Grid

Macbook pro 2019 i7 macOS 15.7.1
Djay v5.4.4
No Controller connected

External 2TB Samsung T7 SSD filled to about 1.2TB - plenty of free space.
Containing 15000 mp4 1080p video tracks, encoded in H264 MPEG4 AVC with MPEG AAC audio (mp4a) - basically normal videos in regular codecs.
All tracks in My Collection playlists and entire library is analysed in djay (several times).

Summary of the issue:
In 90% of the time, when I load a song on deck, it starts to analyze afresh, and so the waveform and beatgrid delays to draw, in fact during that time there’s no BPM or key info on deck too… see screenshot demo video here

It is as if djay is seeing the track as a completely new un-analyzed one.
Indeed, when I tell it to analyze the library or playlist, it does analyze almost the entire list and yet the same playlist has been used in gigs for ages!
Quitting djay and analyzing the same list will yield the same result (same songs get analyzed as if I didn’t just do the same a minute ago).
This causes delays in that it takes a significantly longer wait for my cue points/pads to respond during a mix, because even after the waveforms look ready, nothing responds untill a few seconds of wait..

I am admin user of this mac, and I have read/write access to all drives. Tracks are not read-only. Djay has full disk access too.
Why does it not remember the analysis info? And why the delay in making a loaded track ready for manipulation?

Thinking that 15,000 videos were too much for djay library to handle, I deleted my library file and disconnected external SSD. I then tried to play around with My Files folders sitting on internal drive - same issue.

Hi @Armigo, thanks for the video and details about your setup. I was unable to replicate this on my Mac so I’ve passed this onto the team to see if they can reproduce it and offer any suggestions. I’ll report back when I have news.

In the meantime, are you using any streaming services in addition to your local music?

Thanks.
No, I don’t use streaming service
