Enhanced Mapping: EQ Knobs for Effects

Hi djay Pro community & Algoriddim team,

Building on my previous feature request about EQ knobs and effects, I wanted to elaborate and clarify my ideas for enhanced controller functionality in djay Pro. I believe these additions would significantly improve creative control and workflow for DJs.

Here are my detailed requests:

1. EQ Knobs as Effect Triggers & Modulators with Dual Functionality (Corrected Behavior):

1.1. Center Position (Default): * The EQ knob (Bass, Mid, or High) functions normally, controlling standard EQ or stem volume (depending on user configuration). * Effect DEACTIVATED.

1.2. Counter-Clockwise Rotation (from center position): * As soon as the knob is rotated counter-clockwise from the center position, the pre-selected effect activates immediately. * The effect remains active (at a constant intensity) as long as the knob is held in any counter-clockwise position. * While the knob is rotated counter-clockwise, it ceases to control EQ or stem volume and only controls effect activation/deactivation.

1.3. Clockwise Rotation (from counter-clockwise position): * As soon as the knob is rotated clockwise from a counter-clockwise position, the effect deactivates immediately. * The knob immediately returns to controlling its normal function (EQ or stem volume), depending on user configuration.

* *Ideally, users could choose which effect is assigned to each knob via a dropdown menu in the settings. "Echo Verb Out" is just one example – the key is flexibility in effect selection.*

Thanks for the suggestion @Gianni_Notarnicola. Very interesting idea. Do you have an example of this working with other software like Traktor? If so, could you please share a short video of it that I can forward to the dev team? In the meantime, please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this suggestion. Thanks!

No, I have not. Is a news is a suggestion by me.
Is universal for all controller and I think is perfect for mixing

Okay, thanks @Gianni_Notarnicola

With Traktor I think is possible because the midi section is more advanced respect to djay pro. I suppose is possible to use M condition for enable some efx when the midi value of knob is different from 64 (centre) and minor than 65. Other M condition can be used to deactivate efx when the midi value is upper than 0 directly from midi setting page.
I have never tried this but I think is possible
