Error starting audio engine the parameter is incorrect

Hello, does anyone have this error message “Error starting audio engine the parameter is incorrect(-2147024809)” . I am unable get sound through the USB all other controls work fine using the American Audio VMS 5.

I have exactly the same problem with using Numark Party Mix as Controller. The same error number.
Who can help?
