Was the One Library collaboration a sign of more to come? What’s coming in 6.0? I have no clue but can’t wait to see ![]()
I m asking myself when instead of how
Glad to hear you’re excited for 6.0 @DJ_A_Diffrance
Need to overhaul the sampler in 6.0 imo.
It is pretty useless in it’s current form. Serato sampler is miles ahead, loops, cue points, gated triggering.
Would also like to see the UI react to performance pad modes, you should see visually if you are on beat jump, instant fx etc. At a bare minimum make it accept midi and you can add them yourself.
Only Rekorddbox and Virtual DJ do this.
Tried the lucid grids in Serato and while it is a big improvement, Djay Pro is still much better.
The ability to add custom samples would be dope. Been hoping for that.
im with ya 100% after one year of heavy use of djay pro.
performance pads uselessness is a conundrum for me as well.
and not possible to fix self in midi mapping. some thing are forbidden to do even if its obvious that it should work seamlessly right after installation as its one of the most used features.[for me, cuing, fx, neural etc.. its all dark blind, stuck on whatever i clicked on with the mouse!
sampler use is laughable. should be open to personal preference and easy to bring in own samples etc.
also the engine breaks down if you use neural mixing in any capacity more then surface use. use neural in loops, in and out of things.. it bugs out, stop showing waveforms, sound dies from a point forward. if tracks are different bpm the one track or the other can without warning jump s few bpm to 40 50 bpm and get stuck.
if i gradually want to change bpm while im playing the bpm slider is digitally stuck in place so i have to slide it all way up down up. fast. like rip it of its digital hook that its stuck on or whatever… and then it get unstuck, but then i have max bpm or the other way and have to fast calibrate to where i want it.-. ergo.. in live or recording it would break all things. emersion on the dancefloor and.. don’t know how many recording ive had to scrap, restart. top scrap that one to next. Then give up. Restart all things. maybe it works proper for a while. then craps it self again.
beatgrid are great, when it works being fluid. or whatever the terminology used.. potato potato.
but when bpm are not a match or bpm is fluctuating in one of them, prepare to failures galore.
a few bpm slower in electronic music is fine.
ive spent hours trying to record a project but, i have hours of recordings but not one that’s workable through one take, one recording. not even parts yet that i can cut and paste together. so i left it after a few days defeated. for now.
but have you information about a new release or just thinking aloud wishing for it out in the void?
No info. Thinking out loud. They update often so it just feels like something is coming soon.
in 6.0 could be great to have a sticker match like serato, for dvs and scratch djs will be great, and also the scratch bank ![]()
yea. last year they were on some imaginative creative roll. but this year its been not one update, not one word. no tidbits of teasers. no signs of they are in some kind of develoment at all.
some new video of djs playing with their software on YT is this years big happenings and upgrades. so far
Hi @RoscoeH, welcome to the Community! Thanks for the additional feedback.
The Sampler is already customizable with your own samples. Maybe you meant the Looper?
Thanks for the additional feedback @AndyBoPandy
Thanks for the additional feedback @carletto_dj
I did. Thanks for the correction. The looper! Yep.
That’s what I thought. Thanks for confirming
Where’s the new update? Could it really be 6.0?
The next djay update will be 5.6.9, which should be ready soon. We do not have a timeline for 6.0.
All I want is ID3 Tagging . Metadata directly inside the audio file that’s it! That’s would be major to me for djay
Yeah!!!
