I’m a long-time Traktor user. Traktor has a very intelligent search feature that I unfortunately miss in djay pro.
Desired behavior as currently in Traktor:
If I am inside a playlist and start typing a search query, the search is limited to that playlist.
As soon as I confirm the search by pressing “Enter,” the search expands to the entire library or collection.
Current situation in Djay Pro:
Currently, you always have to navigate to the “Music” node first to search the full library, which can become quite tedious over time if you want to search across multiple playlists.
I would love to see this feature in Djay Pro at some point. It would save me a lot of clicks—and therefore time.
Sounds like a sweet intuitive traktor shortcut; however, my search is always stuck on “My Collection” no matter where I am.
The only time i have to do something more is if i want to restrict it to only the playlist am in.
I don’t know why yours isn’t doing that., or is it because i only use my collections?
Hi again @VincentSonore, I just wanted to follow up and make sure that you were aware of the following. If you initiate a search while within a playlist, you do have the option to only search the playlist or the entire music source.
