Can we have exportable cue points in djay? I use djay on my phone/tablets while on the go, as a buffer while I’m away from my PC and DAW. It serves well when I want to mess around with something new I’ve made, like playing with the tempo or chopping up samples I’ve made, and an integral part of my usage are cue points.
Out of every feature in djay or any other mixer I use, cue points are irreplaceable. Sure we could use more, but that’s besides the point. The ability to export a file with cue point data would benefit the users so much. I’ve use djay for years, across multiple platforms and devices, and I’ve always had to set the same cue points again and again. It would help if we had a way to import/export user data that also worked from one device to the next. Like an xml file that could be loaded into djay on any platform and just work. Maybe link the cue points to specific file names so that even if the directory paths are different from device to device, the cue points are still there.
Or a feature that does the same thing when logging into djay on any device. It would cut back on so much cueing that any of us have to do when changing devices.
Why is is that when I transfer files from my mac to iphone/ipad, the cues are there? Or is this a windows issue?
The iCloud sync feature only works in iOS and macOS. It will sync cues and loops between Apple devices. Unfortunately, this feature is not available on Windows or Android.
Thanks for sharing @Michael_Wisniewski
Please algorithm…I’ve used djay for years. Some of us have hundreds or thousands of songs/mixes with cue points in them. I don’t like setting cue after cue over and over. I will pay you money…just give us a way! :’(
Hi @irlcomplex , I’ve shared your feedback with our dev team. Unfortunately, this is currently a limitation with Android devices. We do have options for iOS, macOS and Windows and the team is investigating potential solutions for Android. I’ll report back here when I have more news. Thanks!
