Hi @Slak_Jaw , umm, I have been checked that track in DAW, but the loudness of that track is ok (-8,5dB, max. value would be -7dB this values are = CD output) , not over drived (just a bit in momentary value, for +0,7dB). So, the track is not distorted by drive value of in dB, but in cue, I note distortion, even if use -6dB or -9dB headroom for (last is very weak sign, anyway) still distortion is there.
I have detected some clipping too, but that is only +0,7 not continuously +4dB we can not say that, that would be the same, right?
Does, your team note that, the cue and headphone volume sliders are doesnât work?
Yes, the Pre-cueing controls do not work in External Mixer Mode. This is currently expected behavior as these levels are controller by the hardware and not by djay. However, the team will investigate this further to see if there are some options available to eliminate any confusion.
To reiterate, the pre-cue is louder than the deck simply because the pre-cue is playing at the original track volume, while the deck has auto gain, which attenuates the level.
It is, however, unexpected that you are hearing distorting on the pre-cue with or without the Headroom setting. Our team was unable to reproduce what you have shared. Can you please send us a video or recording of the headphone distortion so we can assess it further? Thanks!
Hi @DJ-Z, sorry for the delayed response on this one. Yes, this issue has been addressed in the 5.2.10 release. Thanks for confirm the +4dB issue has been resolved for you. Please note that the PRE-CUEING: Volume and Cue/Mix sliders in the main djay Settings have no effect on the headphone signal when you are using External Mixer Mode. These apply only when using an Internal Mixer Mode device. If you want to adjust the headphone level or Cue/Mix, you need to perform this on your external hardware. Sorry for any confusion there. This team is looking into removing these controls in the future when using External Mixer Mode to prevent confusion.
