Hey Algoriddim team & community,
While experimenting with Looper in Video Mode, I noticed something seriously cool: each looper group introduces its own visual effect — and even better, those visuals can be customized. That’s already a powerful creative tool… but there’s an opportunity here to take it to another level.
Please! Make the visibility/intensity of each visual effect directly proportional to the volume of its corresponding looper channel (out of the 8 available).
-
Each looper lane becomes not just audio, but also a real-time visual performance layer.
-
As you raise the volume of a loop, its visual effect becomes more dominant.
-
Lower volume = more transparent, higher volume = more visible.
-
This creates a true audio-reactive visual system, fully controlled by the DJ but, * Pre-cueing for Looper it’s a must: preview loops in headphones before bringing them into the mix. And * MIDI control for visual presets: assign next/previous visual models to pads or buttons for live switching, will be helpfull.
Having this will:
-
Turn DJAY into a complete audio-visual performance instrument.
-
Bridges the gap between DJing and VJing in a natural, intuitive way.
-
Encourages expressive live sets, where what you hear and what you see are tightly connected.
-
Makes performances more engaging for audiences without adding complexity to workflow.
Imagine building a loop groove where:
-
A snare loop subtly flickers visuals…
-
A percussion loop adds motion…
-
And when you bring in a high-energy loop, the visuals explode in sync with the sound.
That’s not just mixing — that’s performing.
