Pitch - when button is pressed, the track glitches and nudges slower a little
When pressed off again track nudges back up again.
When active, rotating the Color FX knob will cause the glitches to activate when rotating either side of the 12 o’clock position
Space and D.Echo - when button is pressed to activate, the effect automatically comes on, even when the knob is at 12 O’clock, rotating the knob slightly and back to 12 will “reset” the FX so it works properly.
Good job on the video with a full explanation and clear demonstration of the problem!
So many people when they have issues, upload a really short video with no talking, wobbly out of focus camerawork… and we’re left wondering what’s going on.
Hi @TomThePirate, thanks for the details about your setup and well explained video - this is very helpful! Can you please confirm that you have installed the latest, v1.14, FLX10 firmware from AlphaTheta?
Thanks for confirming and for the additional info @TomThePirate. I’ve passed this onto our hardware team to see if they can reproduce it. I’ll report back when I have news.
can confirm that is happening with macbook pro m1. i commented on another thread but this is exactly whats happening with mine, started after the latest djay update
Hi @TomThePirate a question for you, on the DJP software I noticed you had an echo set up on (I think it was the melody or the drums) as your first of the three software effects, when you showed the issue in your video it was only showing up on the third sample, the bottom one in the DJP software
My question is how do you activate that first sample, the drum/instrumental echo on a FLX10, do you have to manually touch the ipad to activate it or can you activate software effects in the FLX10? I’ve been trying to get clarification on this for ages without much luck
Hi @Cuzer .
As far as im aware, the sound colour FX only uses the effects bank #3.
FX bank #2 seems to be unassigned
FX bank #1 is assigned to the Beat FX.
Very much the pioneer workflow.
Interestingly enough. the colour fx “filter” doesn’t use FX bank #3 like the others… maybe its a hardware filter?
Thanks Tom, so If I’m understanding correctly of the three internal Djay Pro effects you can only pretty much map one to the FLX10? I eneded up with a Rane Four over the FLX10 purely down to this, I enjoy the use of paddle/instant effects and always use the 3 internal effects on Djay Pro in my mixes, such a shame as I really wanted the FLX10, and will no doubt end up with it at some point, but such a shame you can’t somehow access the internal software effects
Easily reproducible. And it’s not just a FLX 10 issue. It also occurs on Pioneer DDJ 1000 (tested on DDJ 1000 Rekordbox version, latest version of Mac OS Sequoia, Djay 5.6.4).
