Is there any possibilities mixed in key 11 to be integrated with Djay pro anytime soon, because Mixed in key has some great features like editing the tracks and creating a perfect playlist in mixed in key according to there Camelot table and tempo of the songs and drop it in Djay pro, Djay pro integrated with mixed in key, not much can go wrong in terms library management.
Hi @Reuben_Williams, I’ve changed your topic from a Question to a Suggestion and have passed this onto the dev team for consideration. In the meantime, please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this integration. Thanks!
A nice idea in principle, but the question is how it will be implemented. What is integration here? Will the Mixed in Key components be integrated directly into Djay? Great! Or will an interface be integrated that can be used to transfer data between a Mixed in Key installation and Djay? That would only be of limited help, because unfortunately Mixed in Key is only available for Windows and MacOS, and that would rule out its use on mobile devices, especially iPhone and iPad. And it is precisely the ability to use iPhone and Ipad as a DJ that makes Algoriddim Djay stand out. And it would be a shame to exclude those users who use Djay for this very reason.
In this context, it would of course be nice to know how the use of Djay is distributed across the various platforms.
Very keen to see Mixed In Key implementation here - I notice the key analysing in djay is off sometimes. Would be great to just be able to read the key information from the mp3 already without having to rescan within djay pro
Thanks for the additional feedback @jaysnbrwn. In the meantime, a workaround is to have MIK write the Key info as a prefix to something like the Artist Name. Then you can have both available in djay. I hope that helps!
Well For me I have been Using MIK for over ten years now, even before using
Djay Pro, Now that I’m fully with Djay, pro together with MIK abilities to
edit Tags, and prepare playlists, the results are just superb, Especially
when I prepare my playlists on ITunes and drag them to MIK and Analyse For
Keys and Cue points and edit the Tags, The Results are beautiful to see in
Djay Pro.
Abolutely agree, it this possible to get MIK to add the cue points, energy levels etc and bring this into DJay Pro, would be a game changer
Only way I can do this currently is to use it through Serato which is not by software of chocie, DJP is
Maybe you could give a short tutorial or video demonstation Rueben if you’re still on here, or some pointers form the ever helpful @Slak_Jaw
I’m just about to use MIK a little bit more but would love to use it with my DJP/Mixon 8 set up
