Hi Algoriddim Team and Community,
First of all, I want to thank the Algoriddim team for their continued innovation in making DJ software versatile and accessible across various hardware. I’ve been an enthusiastic user of djay Pro, and I’m impressed by its integration with many industry-standard devices.
That being said, I’d like to raise a request regarding full support for the Pioneer XDJ-XZ on macOS, specifically addressing the following limitations:
1. Jog Wheel Display: The XDJ-XZ jog wheel currently doesn’t display track waveforms or playhead positions, which are critical for professional DJing.
2. Main Display Screen: The central screen of the XDJ-XZ doesn’t show full track browsing and performance details, unlike the support you’ve provided for Pioneer’s CDJ-2000.
Given that the CDJ-2000 (a standalone Pioneer device with similar architecture and Rekordbox integration) has been implemented with full display support on djay Pro, it seems feasible to achieve this for the XDJ-XZ. Both devices rely on similar Pioneer software protocols, and many DJs, including myself, rely on the XDJ-XZ as a hybrid standalone/controller unit for its portability and versatility.
The XDJ-XZ is increasingly becoming a go-to solution for professional DJs, especially in event and club setups. Expanding its full compatibility with Algoriddim djay Pro would make it even more valuable to your user base.
I kindly ask the Algoriddim team to consider:
• Prioritizing jog wheel display integration for track visualization.
• Adding full support for the XDJ-XZ’s central screen for track browsing and performance stats.
These features would not only bring the XDJ-XZ support on par with the CDJ-2000 but also further solidify djay Pro as a leading platform for seamless cross-hardware compatibility.
I’d love to hear from other XDJ-XZ users in the community—does anyone else feel these updates would enhance their experience? Let’s discuss!
Thanks for your time and consideration.
