@Slak_Jaw Never poking at you guys by the way, I’ve been a DJ for 44 years, im 60 for reference, used your software since it was launched, but take tomorrow night, I am doing a live gig in a pub, and using Djay when you have to put your expensive Macbook safe and out of the way of the public and staring at blank screens and jogs when it can be so much better, I get to the point of using VDJ because it has screen support and decent stems tbh.. do what you can and make a lot of XZ users happy peeps, from a tech understanding its the same HID path as ones you have already ported.

Might as well be hot off the press with this one, today another update and the argument provided by Alpha Theta is now null and void, why you may ask, their argument for not providing screen support for XDJ XZ is that it’s discontinued product, might I add so is the RX3 added screen support today, why are been gaslighted ?. I did my gig on Saturday Night used VDJ and screen support was invaluable as my laptop was behind me for safety ..

Not aimed at Djay clearly aimed at Alpha Theta for feedback as in my point that out to them, we can only do so much, the RX3 is effectively a two channel version of XDJ with nicer screen.

So the day has finally arrived, VDJ now has Fluid grids in an early implementation, not exactly elegant as Djay Pro but as I have protested for 5 years about lack of screen support for my XDJ vs NO SCREEN support whatsoever on Djay, will it ever happen or is the big switch. Competition is healthy

Don’t mean to be torture and apologies upfront, but would just like stuff to work and not be bullied (not by you by the way but (Alpha Theta) into retiring a perfectly good standalone.
this one is probably really tricky for Alpha Theta as they probably want people to go out and buy AZ or Opus Quad to go along side Djay Pro. Sounds like to me Alpha Theta just don’t have the appetite to work with Algoriddim on the XZ.
I’ve seen VDJ’s attempt at Fluid Grids. I would say it’s ok at best. Not bad for 1.0.

Is the XDJ-RX3 discontinued? It’s still on sale in most DJ stores.
I’d like screen support for my Denon Prime 2. Is it likely to happen? I highly doubt it, the same would apply for the XDJ-XZ in my opinion, there would have to be a huge financial incentive for both companies to work on support, and the fact is most XZ buyers have bought them to mimick club standard setups on a budget, so plugging a computer in is not on their radar. I know a good few XZ owners, and none of them use a computer with them.
I have put my use case and double standards by alpha theta not djay as such, fact based on figures out there 400k XZ users vs 60k AZ users. So if the XZ was supported and say 10% users hit subs on djay pro, that’s a lot. I love DJay always have but dedication to hardware has never been a strong point until recently. For purely library management at stuff like weddings etc , IMO a laptop is essential and also required for advanced mixing with stems, unless going for Rane System One. Also a quick hack I do when I prepare is fire my prep list through Neural Mix Pro another algoriddim product and batch off all those Disco tracks with batch quantizing using fluid beatgrids tech, best of both worlds but for Mac users only.
The trouble with those figures you’re quoting is comparing a 7yr old product with a newly released less than 1yr old product, of course there are going to be far less owners at present, especially given the fact one has replaced the other, so it’s been a full 7yr cycle. Do you think by the end of the AZ lifespan those numbers will be the same?
The old product was made under the old brand and is now discontinued, from a business or financial point of view they have absolutely no motivation to work on supporting the item they’ve just superseded with a new version.
I think the fact you’ve been asking for this for more than 4yrs and it hasn’t happened, is a good sign it’s unlikely to be now, much the same way my Prime 2 that is a similar age is highly unlikely to ever be worked on.
My XZ is 2021 serial so to me it’s four year old and figures are figures from an algoriddim point of view 10% take up on 400k or 10% of 60k I know what I’d be chasing from a business point of view.
I’m sure they’ve got plenty of clever marketing people who have knowledge of the industry and which decisions will stand to make the most business sense.

I cant see the actual song or browse with the xdj-xz which is already connected with DJay Pro.
Serato is working. Rekordbox also. but djay pro not.
I have installed the newest firmware and have an Apple M3 Pro with macOs Tahoe 26.6.2 (25G83).
