Future dedicated djay Pro controllers – any plans?

Hi Algoriddim team :waving_hand:

I have a question about any upcoming DJ controllers designed specifically for djay Pro, similar to what Pioneer did in the past with the DDJ-SX and DDJ-SR for Serato.

I know you currently have the Reloop Mixon 8, but I’m personally not a big fan of its symmetrical layout.

I also noticed your close collaboration with Hercules DJ (I have the Control Mix Ultra — feels like a toy, but it’s GREAT :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:). It would be amazing if you could create something together in the spirit of the DDJ-SR — compact, professional, and optimized and made especially for djay Pro (like above Control Mix Ultra)

Are there any plans or discussions about a new dedicated djay Pro controller?

It would be really helpful to know whether it’s worth waiting a bit or if I should invest in something else now. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks a lot, and keep up the great work with djay Pro!

Best regards,
Qelman

Thanks for the suggestion @Qelman. I’ll pass this onto the devs for consideration.

There’s a massive gaping hole where the DDJ-800 used to be…

We truly need some pro level dedicated hardware. It’s great that Algoriddim supports so many different controllers but all just feel grafted on. We need a pro level controller made specifically for Algoriddim like all other platforms have. I am talking about something as high quality as the RANE ONE MKII but designed as a one to one for DJay. We are way past due for this.

It wasn’t intentional, but an accident. You didn’t have to take the time to comment that either, but here we are, haha.

Thanks fo the suggestion @Shane_Bryson. I’ve removed the bold text from your original post and have merged it with this existing related topic. Please vote above. Thanks!

I’ve deleted my now off topic post.

Back on topic. Hardware companies will create hardware that they believe will sell, based on huge amounts of market research. If Djay Pro doesn’t have what you are looking for there are likely solid reasons for that based on the market research.

Virtual DJ is far bigger than Djay Pro and they have no dedicated hardware at all.
