Ghost Fader moves wrong direction when changing view mode

  • Device model: Apple iPad Air 13 M3
  • Version of operating system: iPadOS 18.5
  • Version of djay: djay 5.3.3 (with Pro subscription via Apple App Store)
  • Hardware/controllers used: Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 (firmware v1.06)

Summary of the issue:

The “ghost” tempo slider moves in the wrong direction depending on your view mode.

When the tempo slider on the app becomes out of sync / alignment with the tempo slider on the mixer deck, a “ghost” slider appears on the screen which you can then use to track and pick up the real position and bring the app and the hardware tempo back in to alignment.

This works find in regular view mode but if you change the app view, the ghost slider now moves in the opposite direction.

For reference, in case it helps anyone trying to repro this issue, I have my Invert Slider setting turned on (seems to be needed for the DDJ-200 and the DDJ-FLX4):

  • Settings > General > Tempo > Invert Slider (ON)

How to reproduce the issue:

I wasn’t sure how best to explain it in words, so I recorded a short video showing how to reproduce the issue.

Thanks for the video @TheSouthernDJ - this clearly illustrates the issue. I have passed this onto engineering for further review.

@Slak_Jaw just wanted to say how refreshing it is to see a company being so willing to engage.

It’s sadly a rare thing these days.

Thank you :100:

You’re welcome @TheSouthernDJ. Thanks for the positive feedback. It’s always appreciated!
