Yes, this is possible but you have to tweak your midi for this. It’s called “pickup mode” for the gain knob
Hi ! And I encountered this very annoying problem especially for private events when I always had problems with volume differences, at first I thought it was a faulty console, but no. After several searches I recommend you to install Platinum Notes, is a program that will bring all the songs in the gallery to the same db level.
Hey @DJ_Gun_Offcial! Yes, I know Platinum Notes, but I’m not a fan of software that can apply things like audio enhancement and pitch correction without knowing exactly what it does. It gives me an unpleasant feeling knowing that it’s making changes to my files without me being able to listen to all of them after the processing. Also, I don’t think it’s necessary when you have a well-functioning Auto-Gain in place, like in Traktor.
When the music, its recording, or the file is low quality in the first place, it’s not possible to truly correct it afterward imo.
IMO it’s not necessary even without auto gain, because we have ears, level meters and gain controls.
Hello everyone! I’m happy to report that we’ve made some improvement to Auto-Gain in the 5.3 release.
• Auto gain: decoupled manual gain on hardware controllers from auto gain in software to allow for independent adjustments
• Auto gain reset: double taping the gain knob first resets to auto gain level when auto gain is active, double tapping again resets to zero
For the full 5.3 release notes, please refer to the topic below. Thanks!
It’s fixed in the newest update!
