I understand reloop buddy doesn’t unlock all djay PRO functions and djay say a reloop Buddy as a connected hardware. So setup seems to be OK.
But djay mode are only selectable “starter”, “automix” and “classic”. I cannot select “hardware mode”.
My controller is reloop Buddy so I wonder it may selectable “hardware mode” without djay subscription, isn’t it? Currently this “hardware mode” is marked “PRO”.
I don’t need full functionality PRO but just need to see each parameter on iPad screen which are enabled by reloop Buddy connecting.

Hi @ichi_buddy, welcome to the Community! Hardware Mode is very similar to Pro Mode, but simply removes some of the onscreen controls that are typically controlled via the controller. So yes, Hardware Mode is limited to the djay Pro subscription. You can still control djay with the Reloop Buddy using Classic Mode I hope that helps!
Hello, @Slak_Jaw , Thank you for your response. I understand PRO subscription is needed to see onscreen control for reloop buddy. As your advice “classic mode” is difficult to use with reloop buddy (i.e. cannot check which effect is selected and current parameter, etc.)
The djay screen shot of FAQ on below reloop website made me misunderstanding. It is like I can use Hardware mode without subscription.
Do I need a djay Pro subscription for the Reloop Buddy ?
You’re welcome @ichi_buddy. In Classic Mode, simply select the small mixer icon near the bottom corner of the turntables to reveal the Neural Mix, Hot Cues, Loops, FX and Mixer UI options.
