Been using Djay Pro for vj’ing for some time, but I’ve experienced choppy video performance all the time. Even at its best Djay Pro skips a frame or two every now and then.
Has this been fixed in Djay Pro 2? Really wouldn’t want to pour in that much money for the upgrade if the video performance isn’t any better.

Videos mostly HD, both music videos & all kinds of live video mixing while another dj plays on his own gear

Even simple music videos have choppiness, without any video FX on

I’m playing the videos from MacBook’s internal SSD drive – playing them from external USB disk gave way worse freezes

Avoiding trackpad helps; browsing library w/trackpad causes freeze frames, but scrolling w/arrow keys doesn’t
