i have an old iPad Air with both the DJay 2 app (DJay AI) and the Djay Pro app

Hercules Starlight with DJay Pro

I connected the Hercules starlight and opened the DJay 2 app (DJay AI) and it works perfectly. But when I open Djay Pro it doesn’t work at all. strange.

any ideas? what should I be looking for in the settings menu? under MIDI it says “Found 2 devices” but does not show me the devices. When I press rescan for midi controllers nothing happens
