Is there anyway to map an effect that will echo out the whole instrumental with one pad like the stem mode on serato does? I know you can map echoing out certain elements but i want to echo out all elements except the vocals.
Hi @RipKnoxx, currently the Neural Mix Instant FX for the performance pads are only available for Drums and Vocals, not Harmonics.
You can, however, use the Manual FX and apply one Echo Out to the Drums and another Echo Out to the Harmonics.
Just tried this and it works when I use the touch screen but on the T7 only one effect can be selected at a time so I’d have to only use my controller. I just watched a video with another Dj using a rane performer and they mapped a paddle to the whole instrumental. Any idea how that was done?
Hi @RipKnoxx, you can MIDI map multiple controls to a single button using the Duplicate option in djay. On iOS, you simply long press on the command you just mapped and slide left to reveal the Duplicate option. In your case, you’ll probably want to start by duplicating the the FX1 Enable button on your hardware and map it to FX2 Enable. I hope that helps!
