Thanks for the follow up @holzakontra. Our engineering team is working on some tweaks that should help with this and will likely be included in the upcoming 5.6 release.

Sometimes when I perform on big stages (massive bass) using cdjs (3000,2000nxs2,1000mk2) I have one problem. Didn’t have a chance to film it, but I can explain. Because of big bass, jogs move a little, so the start point of loaded track moves also. But even this is not the main thing! I use sync and when I try to play the track Djay probably…waits for something (because of micromovements of jog on cdj) and doesn’t start the track. Sometimes the track start ok, sometimes nothing happens for few seconds and then track start. Can you advise something or can you fix this?
Hi @explash, this sounds similar to the issue shown above. Please review and let me know.
Yeah, the same problem from the beginning of using Djay. Hope it will be fixed soon, thanks!
Thanks for confirming @explash. I’ll share this with our engineering team.
update
5.6 still had drift problem
Thanks for the update @holzakontra
its drifting so bad last night, i had to switch to other software after just only 4 tracks using djay. hope its fixed soon.
Sorry to hear about that @holzakontra. I’ll escalate this again with our engineering team.
5.6.1 working almost perfect, doing 2 gigs last night, drift just one times at 1st gig, and 2 times at 2nd gig.
whatever the engineering is doing, its working!
just do it a little bit more so maybe the drift problem will disappeared.
thanks djay engineering.
Thanks for the follow up @holzakontra. Glad to hear it’s getting better. I’ll let the team know.
me too! cant wait to test it out again on the next gig this wednesday.
Excellent! Good to hear. Looking forward to additional feedback later this week.
tried HID last night via Prod DJ link, still drifting, this is a problem that alienated the app to a lot of professional DJ since most clubs have CDJ 3000, i went back to DVS for my 2nd gig
Thanks for sharing @echa0361.
- What version of djay were you running?
- What firmware version were the CDJs on?
doing 3 gigs for the past 2 nights, can confirm that the drifting problem still exist, but the funny thing is, sometimes its bad, sometimes only happens like 2-3 times on a 2 hours set.
equipments cdj 3000 + djm a9, hid mode with 3 usb cables and hid mode with pro dj link.
i do start to believe this is because of the bass vibration. maybe the hid settings on djay are too sensitive so a little vibration on the cdjs registered as a movements on the jog wheel? i dont know, but one thing i know for sure is never had any drift issue with SRT and RB with the exact same equipments.
Thanks for the new feedback @holzakontra. I will let the engineering team know.
firmware 3.30 and djay 5.6.1 HID via Pro DJ Link
Thanks for the details @echa0361
thanks slak, hopefully this isssue will be sorted soon, i think this is the biggest hurdle that makes djay not quite ready for the clubs, 3000s are everywhere in the club scene, and everyone is using HID with software, i use timecodes since im used to turntables, but almost everyone prefers HID
