Hot Cue still start playback with the option toggled off

Ipad 10th gen and Macbook air M1
Mac OS 15.5 / IOS 18.5
Djay 5.3.2
Reloop Buddy

As reported many times by others, i’m still struggling with my hot cues, out of the blue, starts playback when triggered, obviously with the dedicated option in the settins turned off, the behaviour is unpredictable so i don’t understand what makes this happen, the only way to “fix” is to reload the track but this bug still exsist unfortunately.

Hi @SIMSU_84, welcome to the Community! Sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. I am unable to replicate this on my setup. Can you please try to capture a short video of this including your djay Settings>Advanced>CUE POINTS & LOOPS>Auot-Play When Triggering Cue Point settings? Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the reply, yes as I said in my first message: “obviously with the dedicated option in the settinsgs turned off”

You’re welcome. Yes, I understood the setting is Off in your original reply. I would like to show proof of this, plus the issue via your video to the engineering team to see if that helps with replicating the issue and troubleshooting it further. Thanks!

Hi, finally I decided to return my reloop Buddy yesterday since also the deck 2 cue button start to work intermittently and it has a problem with the deck 1 jogweel from the very first day, in those days I will play with the software using just my laptop so if I will not encounter the “hot cue bug” I can suppose it was something related to the controller…

Thanks for the follow up @SIMSU_84. Please report back if you experience the same issue with your replacement unit or with only using the laptop. Thanks!

A brief follow up: I’ve tested my new flx4 controller for some hours now, and the bug is not present, everything works flawlessly, so to me the logical conclusion is that it was caused by some bug between the reloop buddy and the app, or maybe my unit was defective.

Thanks for the follow up @SIMSU_84. Glad to hear things are working as expected with the FLX4.
