YOUR QUESTION:

  1. Expanding the library, as recommended on an earlier post on this subject, still leaves the BPM on the screen - I am learning to Beatmatch by ear and the best I can do is drag the screen so Deck 2 is not visible, but this means I can only ever beat match (by ear) on 1 Deck, as I have to drag Deck 2 back onto the screen - as soon as I see the BPM on Deck 2 its over…

  2. I have toyed around with the settings but no joy…as always any help appreciated

Hi @benjik, there are no options in djay to hide the BPM readouts. It’s low tech, but what I used to do back in the day when learning to beat match by ear was to cover the readouts with a post-it note of piece of tape.

Ok. At least I know that now. Would be good to have a “cloak” mode. But for now it’s the basic cover my screen option. Thanks for your reply. Ben.

You’re welcome @benjik

Hi! Long time DJ here! I love your software, and have purchased access so I can do Bedroom DJ Sets when not in my studio and so far, it’s working out great, especially with my Vestax VCI-100 and MOTU Audio Express interfaces I just acquired! No major complaints, altho I would really appreciate if you could consider implementing a toggle switch to hide all BPM readouts, as I have never used BPM (you couldn’t back in the vinyl days) and it gets in the way of my flow to even show me what’s going on in that regard. Any veteran DJ will agree with me. Please make this change and you will find a whole community of users that have been longing for this adjustment and they will thank you profusely! Great software, and thank you in advance!

Hi @ebeaudio welcome to the Community! Thanks for the additional feedback. Please create a separate suggestion topic for this so you and others can upvote it. Thanks!
