How to show selected fx on "main screen" (with FLX4)

I’m using Djay Pro with a premium license on an iPad Air with a DDJ-FLX4.
The controller has a single button to browse through the fx. However in my app I need to go to the fx tab and then select “manual” in order to see which effect is currently selected. I’m usually not using this tab and it’s quite cumbersome.

When watching a random video from Crossfader on the reelop mixtour pro I was blown away when I saw that they had a small section for the fx above the EQs. I tried every single setting in the app and read the manual but I couldn’t find any way to enable this line.

What do I need to do in order to get this, too?

Hi @Derstu, with your DJ controller connected, navigate to the djay Modes and select Hardware Mode at the top of the list.

Oh wow! I completely missed that mode :frowning:
Thanks a lot!

Is there any way to have the iPad represent the right mode of the performance pads? Let’s say I’m on hot queues and press the “Pad FX 1” button it would be amazing if the iPad interface would switch to the fx, too. Then I’d instantly see the effect assignment to the pads.

You’re welcome @Derstu. It’s not currently possible to have the djay display mode change via MIDI commands. However, you can vote for this feature in the linked topic below:
