I love this app so much I ended up making two YouTube videos about it. 20 years on serato 8months on DJ PRO and i’ve never looked back!
Really great video. You’re right in saying djay pro has some real key advantages over Serato. One minor correction is that you can indeed use stems with Beatsource. Keep rocking
Thanks for the positive feedback and video @Owe_Marley. Always appreciated! I will share this with the team.
I don’t mean to dampen the mood, but as soon as I saw the title, I suspected it was referring to a digital DJ setup rather than vinyl DVS. I’ve tried DJAY Pro, and while it’s an impressive platform overall, its performance with vinyl DVS is lacking. If it were purely about controllers or digital DVS, I wouldn’t have considered Serato in the first place—its main advantage is the anti-drift feature, which is largely unnecessary when using digital controllers (with the possible exception of rotaries, though even then it’s not as pronounced as with vinyl). Don’t get me wrong, DJAY Pro is fantastic in many respects, but its vinyl DVS implementation is where it falls short.
Djay is weak in the controller department also . It really doesn’t make it past the bedroom anymore.
Great company but for me when I plug in $1200 -$2000 controller I just want it to work! Djay is seriously failing in this department .
I’ve done the same thing. I made the switch to DJay Pro and am very happy with it. I use it with my turntables and controllers. The only time I open Serato is when I want to do some intense scratch practice. Serato still has the best vinyl feel but for regular DJing DJay Pro is just fine and it has other great features that I value more than the feel when scratching. Each software has a time and place but DJay Pro has been my software of choice for over a year now.
Thanks for the positive feedback @LogisticalStyles
personally i think people sometimes need to think outside of the box…
with the current state of things sync’ing etc & the increased performance in CPU’s etc… one can run multiple DJ software for vinyl.. thereby making alot of things possible
how well a person integrates multiple applications is a different matter…
the limitations these days… is only a persons imagination
the information about making filters is something i wasnt aware of…
very useful knowledge!
