I need a tutorial for djay Pro for Windows

Thanks for the offer @TheSilverStreak. Please use the “Contact Support” within the djay Settings and title your email “ATTN. NATHANIEL: I need a tutorial for djay Pro for Windows”. Then you can share with them your thoughts above. Thanks!

Thanks. I will do that now.

There is no itunes for music in windows anymore. Its Apple music.

After six months you respond to my post?! :man_shrugging: :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

The original poster mentioned iTunes, so presumably they were using it.

Also iTunes for Windows is still available (even six months after my post).

For one thing i just now saw the post as I just started using DJAYPRO and am wanting to use it on windows versus VDJ so I am learning it. Secondly, yes, you can get the app for itunes but all that is available is the Podcasts and the like. You can no longer use it for music, you use Apple Music for that.

…but you need to bear in mind that the post was made six months ago, the poster specifically mentioned using iTunes, and my reply (at that time) was correct.

In fact, from Apple’s current support page: “If you don’t install Apple Music or Apple TV, you can continue to use iTunes for all your media”.

Further evidence. I’ve just installed the latest iTunes from the Microsoft store and run it. Here’s a screenshot…

Don’t believe me? Follow the link I posted and look at the screenshots there.

I think Djay Pro was created originally for Apple Devices, like Macbook, iPad and iPhone.
Its quality analyzing the tracks, low resources needed to run it (it’s very very light using CPU and memory) and it’s advanced algoridm isolating stems made it very popular and they started developing the Android and Windows versions, because there were a lot of DJs that uses devices running this OS. But, in my opinion, these Android and Windows versions are not well supported. I think it’s because the major part of users run it on Apple devices, so for them the main preference is to get these softwares updated and well documented, not Android and Windows versions. I’m also computing engineer, and I use Linux. I needed to install Windows only for djing, because you can find only one djing software running in Linux, called Mixxx. No other controller manufacturer neither djing software company develop its software for linux users. ¿Why? Because they study how many people from its customers uses each operating system and electronic devices and decide to implement its software for the aimed public they want. I’m been using for a long time Serato DJ Pro and Rekordbox for Windows, and now I’ve paid for the Djay Pro subscription after testing it for some time. I love stems isolation and Neural Mix from Djay Pro, but It’s true you have to test options by yourselve, there’s no tutorial neither manual updated to last version (5.4) and its new features. They have updated MacOS manual, but Windows users are not its priority

I have to agree—Windows users often feel like second-class citizens when it comes to support for djay Pro. The fact that there’s still no dedicated user manual for Windows after all this time feels both disappointing and dismissive, especially considering that we are paying customers.

That said, I continue to use and pay for djay Pro because I genuinely believe its stems and beat gridding features are among the best available. However, if a comparable product comes along that offers better support for Windows users, I’d seriously consider making the switch.

As someone who has used both Windows and macOS for over 30 years, I can honestly say I prefer Windows. Many of my peers feel the same way. Years ago, Macs were essential for serious work in music production and graphic design, but that hasn’t been the case for quite some time.

In my opinion, it’s time for Algoriddim to invest more in supporting its Windows user base.

Thanks for the feedback @TheSilverStreak. Our team is constantly working to bring as much parity across all djay platforms as they can. Updating the user manuals for all platforms is also on the roadmap.

It’s only been 3 years.

Do you need a technical writer? I’m retired, but for the right price I guess I could offer to help …

Thanks for the offer @SK_Pod! We recently filled that position, but I’ll definitely keep you in mind.
