iCloud cue point sync from Intel Mac to M chip iOS

  • Device model (e.g. 2020 iPad Air 4th Gen): MacBook Pro 15inch, 2.8Ghz intel core I7 & iPad Pro 12.9 m1 5th edition
  • Version of operating system (e.g. macOS 14.4.1): MacBook Monterey 12.7.6 and iPad 18.3.2
  • Version of djay (e.g. 5.1.2): 5.3
  • Hardware/controllers used (e.g. Reloop Mixon 8 Pro): non at this time

Summary of the issue:
I’ve been using mixed in key 11 pro playing around using the playlist creater. Playlist with cue points transfers over to Mac no problem and also the playlists tracks transfer over to iPad as well when using music app or copy them over directly using my collection. The problem is that the cue points that mixed in key crested don’t transfer over to iOS. This is annoying as when I tried using m3 MacBook they did. Which tells me could be a bug transferring from intel to silicone chips.

How to reproduce the issue:
Create playlist ideas using mixed in key 11 pro
Transfer tracks over to Apple Music app or my collection on Intel Mac
Cue points from mik are visible
Go over to iPad, tracks are there but no cue points

Side note I have cloud syncing on all devices so cue points and loops should transfer over.

Interestingly I can make changes on iOS and instantly on my Intel Mac i see the change but not other way around. This bug seems to be from Intel Mac to iOS, where cue points don’t change.

Did you take a look at this one @Slak_Jaw?

Basically using Intel Mac I7 when making cue points they dont show up on iOS devices iPad m1 or iPhone 15 pro max. When I reverse and make cue points on iOS they show on MacBook. iCloud is on for djay pro on all devices.

Hi @Dysfunk_DJ, sorry for the delayed response, the Community has been super busy for the last week or so and I’m quite behind. I was not able to replicate this on my end so I’ve passed it onto engineering for further review. I’ll report back when I have news.

Hi again @Dysfunk_DJ, our engineering team is recommending that you perform the following process on your Intel Mac to reset the iCloud state:

  1. Quit djay.
  2. Make sure you have a backup of your djay Media Library.djayMediaLibrary file on an external drive or in the cloud.
  3. If you have previously disabled iCloud for djay Pro in System settings, please make sure it is re-enabled for djay Pro.
  4. Open the app Terminal.app
  5. Run this command: defaults write com.algoriddim.djay-iphone-free CMCResetCloudKitState -bool true
  6. Launch djay

Thanks!

Thanks @Slak_Jaw I deleted djay and reinstalled on my Mac and it seems to have sorted it. If it comes back I’ll try that method.
