Icloud Sync Stop after reinstallation on MacOs

Djaypro 5.2.6
MacBook Pro 15-inch, 2017 Ventura 13.7.1 - Djaypro 5.2.6
Macbook Air M2 - Sequoia 15.1 - Djaypro 5.2.5

Problem
After reinstallations performed on the iPad and the 2 Macs in an attempt to resolve my latest reports, I noticed that Icloud Sync stopped working. On the iPad I solved it by uninstalling and reinstalling DjayPro, but on both Macs the synchronization does not restart and remains in loading. I have already tried the various things found in the community. I attach the screenshots.
Thanks

Hi @CorradJ,

  1. On the Mac, make sure you’re using djay purchased through the Mac App Store:
    a. Launch djay Pro AI on your Mac.
    b. Select “About djay Pro AI” from the “djay Pro AI” menu.
    c. If it says “Registered to: …” above the version number, your version of djay is not purchased through the Mac App Store.
  2. Update your operating system to the latest version.
  3. In the iCloud system settings, check if every device is logged in with the same Apple ID and iCloud drive is enabled.
  4. Check if every device is connected to the Internet.
  5. Check if the songs you are using have exactly the same title, artist, and duration.
  6. Check if iCloud Drive is enabled for djay:
On Mac: go to System Preferences - Apple ID - iCloud - iCloud Drive - Options… and ensure the checkbox next to “djay Pro AI” is checked.
  7. In the Date & Time system settings, enable automatically setting the date and time on all your devices.
  8. Sign out of iCloud and sign back in.

Hi, I tried everything but with no resolution. The only way to restart the synchronization is to remove the library file from the Djay folder “djay Media Library.djayMediaLibrary” so that it creates a new one losing all the CUE points etc. Keep in mind that the synchronization does not restart with any Backup that I have. I also have backups from 2023.

NO SYNC:

Okay, thanks for the additional info @CorradJ. Can you please upload your djayMediaLibrary database to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to it here or send it to me in a DM? I would like to get the engineering team to look at the database to see if there’s an issue with it. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have done many tests. As the last one since the library was originally created with Djay Pro 2 I downloaded it from the Apple store.
Tests:
Djay pro 2, first opening with a new library, the Sync with the server starts.
I close and open by loading my library (Pre Backup) and Djay Pro 2 activates the Sync.
I close Djay Pro 2, I open Djay AI with the library just opened by Djay Pro 2 (Working) but the Sync does not start.
I close Djay AI, I remove my library (which worked with Djay Pro 2) I reopen Djay AI, it creates a new library with Sync working.
I close Djay Ai, I replace the library just created with mine (working with Djay Pro 2) and the Sync activates!!!
After a couple of days I noticed that my library has now decreased in size from 280 Mb to 171 Mb but apparently everything is as before.
I still have to understand if it synchronizes with Ipad, now I will do some tests and soon and update.
Thanks

Hi @CorradJ, please follow the process below to reset the iCloud state:

  1. Quit djay.
  2. Make sure you have a backup of your djay Media Library.djayMediaLibrary file on an external drive or in the cloud.
  3. If you have previously disabled iCloud for djay Pro in System settings, please make sure it is re-enabled for djay Pro.
  4. Open the app Terminal.app
  5. Run this command: defaults write com.algoriddim.djay-iphone-free CMCResetCloudKitState -bool true
  6. Launch djay

This will reset the cloudkit state and should clear up the issue. Thanks!

Yes it works,
I also tried to load an old copy of the 280 Mb library that did not work, executed the command from Terminal, launched Djay Ai and saw from finder that the 280 Mb library went down to 172 Mb.
Then I ran Cue storage tests from Mac to IPad and from IPad and from Ipad to Mac, all perfect.
Great Thanks!

Excellent! Glad to hear that worked @CorradJ. You’re welcome!
