In djay pro for Mac, what is the best settings for an image file for an overlay? I created a PNG which showed up fine on a MacBook Air through djay, but it looked horrible on a MacBook Pro. What is optimal so that it shows properly on all computers?

Thanks, but neither MacBook had retina displays, and both were using an external monitor. What’s the recommended file format, resolution and size for image overlay, in general?

thank you for your post. There is no overall solution to this problem, as you already experienced the overlay looks different on different screens ( MacBook Pro Retina vs MacBook Air non-Retina).

Hi there,

in general all files which are supported by djay will do fine. Please note that the video output of djay Pro renders videos and images to 720 p so 1280x720 would be a nice image format to work with.

The size and scale of the image are settings which are all up to you.
