There is currently only one option to view and select from your library in portrait mode and for me it’s a little too small and not particularly user freindly. It’s also not very visualy appealing and looks quite clunky planted on the screen.
It would be good to see the library raise from the bottom of the screen and not obscure the current selection’s status and info.
Personally, I prefer the library obscuring the controls section as i have no use for it while selecting tracks, and if selecting a track is taking longer than usual I can clearly observe the status of what’s playing.
Also there is no “toggle library expanded” option for a clearer view and more detailed search which I often use.
Thanks for the suggestion @daniel_curley! Good idea. I have forwarded this to the dev team for consideration.
There is often strange abnormal behaviour when selecting tracks as well.
Is there something i should know about or is this video how it should be

Hi @daniel_curley,
- Can you please try updating to the latest version of djay, 5.3? There have been some enhancements to the MIDI mappings in this release.
- Also, please confirm that you are using the (built-in) MIDI mapping and not a custom edit.
Thanks!

Regardless of whether there’s an issue, it’s still awful to use.
The library constantly opening on the left hand side irrespective of what’s playing on what deck is really confusing and constantly keeps you second guessing.
Needs a rethink in my eyes, the iPhone system is way easier and less confusing
Okay, thanks for checking and for the additional info and video. I have passed this onto engineering for further review.
It looks very strange. It seems that no one thought that the ipad would be used like this. I hope it will be fixed. I would suggest opening the browser at the bottom.
Thanks for the additional feedback @Zirrex
