Are we seriously having this conversation? Someone sets a price, and you want to pay more? Seriously, that’s not how the world works.
When Algoriddim decides to raise the price, they’ll do it when they see fit because they’ll have run the numbers. And normal people will be asking them to lower it or threatening to cancel, but honestly, this is the first time I’ve ever seen someone ask to be charged more for something.
I think as a value proposition, Djay is set at just about the correct price. If the price was increased, I’d be looking at perpetual licenses.
I have never taken the plunge, but Virtual DJ, for example. Is a bargain if you buy it out right as you get lifetime updates for free. I’ve heard people say that they’ve bought that software 20 plus years ago and have never paid anything further. That is a very good value proposition, if you make use of it.
With the current yearly subscription of Djay, it gives the company a way of working and scheduling what they can and can’t do, as they will have projections of their budget.
What’s your problem with Android? It’s just as efficient as any other operating system. When it comes to platforms and payments, the Windows version is still poor compared to the Apple version preferred by developers. I’m waiting for actual research from the developers on which platforms their product is available. If you want to change your subscription, you have to be prepared to release a full-fledged product for all platforms.
