Innovation. Which companies are doing it?

I’ve used the platinum fx and it’s a very underrated “beginner” controller considering all of its features. If you know how to use djay pro and have a decent sense of music it shouldn’t be a problem at all to rock a crowd with it.

Funny story, my Prime 2 was being repaired so I had to use this at a gig.

Some guy approached the booth and said “here mate, if you want to be taken seriously as a DJ you need to get some better gear”, I said oh yeah like what? He said get a DDJ-SX2 cos I have one.

I just said to him that my actual gear was being repaired and at the end of the day im the one being paid and you’re the one buying the drinks that help me get paid :person_shrugging:, then showed him a photo of my DJ room at home and said you shouldn’t really judge people on what gear they are using as it’s the music that matters.

I’m not going to lie here and say I’d be using that Numark as a regular device at gigs, because it doesn’t sound that good and the controls aren’t the best compared to other stuff, but does it get the job done when needs must, absolutely.

what a moronic thing to say to you.

Ive actually seen some decent reviews for the Platinum FX. For a $250 controller, you get a lot of bang for your buck in that price range.

Yeah it was pathetic really, he was just a bedroom DJ too who hadn’t actually ever done a gig, not that that’s a problem as I love DJing at home, but it becomes a problem when people start saying stuff like that to a working DJ :person_facepalming:t3:

The Numark is pretty good, the platters and faders are nicer than the FLX4 I’d say, the buttons and cue pads not so much but still usable.
