Hi @grrk, welcome to the community! Please close djay and follow the procedure below to perform a Forced Restart of your iPad: Force restart iPad - Apple Support

If this doesn’t solve things, can you please try to capture a short video of the issue, upload it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? Thanks!

Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!

I got time to test it, and unfortunately rebooting the iPad does not solve the problem.

Thanks for the update @grrk. Sorry to hear that didn’t solve your issue. Can you please try to capture a short video of the issue, upload it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? Thanks!

I’ve sent you the video.

Thanks for the video @grrk. That’s very helpful.

  1. Are you using the (built-in) MIDI mapping for the Mixtrack Pro FX or a custom edit?
  2. Are you running any other applications in the background when using djay?
  3. Do you have iCloud Syncing enabled in the djay Settings>Advanced>SYNCING?
  4. Have you checked the Numark website for an updated firmware?
  5. Have you tried using a different USB cable?
  6. If that doesn’t solve your issue, I suggest that you backup your djay Media Library database and any custom MIDI mappings, then uninstall djay, reboot your device, and reinstall the latest version of djay. You can find the files above in the following locations:
    a. iOS: using the Files App, navigate to Locations->On My iPhone/iPad->djay->User Data
    b. Copy the files to a new location or external drive before uninstalling djay. After reinstallation, you can simply copy these files back to their original locations to maintain your Hot Cues, Saved Loops, My Collection Playlists, History and Queue.

Seems like reverting to built-in MIDI mapping has fixed the issue (tested for 30minutes). I had STEMS mapped to sampler pads before, and so far mapping them again does not introduce the issue again. That’s great! Will report if the issue comes back.

Excellent. You’re welcome. Glad that seems to have cleared things up @grrk.
