I think I have the same problem.
I have been using Djay Pro for a long time now and have upgraded to Djay Pro 2 for Mac. However, I have noticed that when I have my external hard drive plugged in with my music, and I am accessing my files within the program, there is an issue with latency on active decks.
I cannot effectively scratch, and when I try, there is a lag time and the track skips around a little. It is not responsive like track manipulation is in Djay Pro 1 for Mac.
I think the problem has to do with track identification within separate files. When I am using a scratch sample and move the crossfader exclusively to the sample side, there is a delay in play because the software is identifying the song on the current track. I think this is too much information for the software to process and the software might freeze up and not be able to respond quickly enough to the actions being done on the hardware that is connected.
If anyone else is having this problem, let me know and if you have found a possible solution to the issue.
