YOUR SUGGESTION:

  1. If possible, I want the key shift section on the FLX4 to be mappable.

Hi @alpthewhite, thanks for the suggestion. In the meantime, you can put key shifting on the FLX4 pads yourself by mapping djay’s Key - and Key + actions. The SHIFT layer of the PAD FX pads isn’t used in the default FLX4 mapping, so it’s a good spot for them:

  1. Go to Dashboard > Settings > MIDI devices and select the DDJ-FLX4.

  2. On the left deck, press PAD FX, then hold SHIFT and press pad 1.

  3. Tap the new entry and set Target Deck 1, Action Key -.

  4. Hold SHIFT, press pad 2, and set it to Key +.

  5. Do the same on the right deck for Deck 2, save under a new name, and test.

Saving under a new name keeps the original mapping safe if you ever want to switch back. You’ll see the key change in the deck’s key display, and tapping it opens the Key options menu too. Also, Pitch Play is already mapped to one of the Performance Pad Modes (SHIFT+HOT CUE) so you may want to play around with that. I hope that helps!
