Is latest update possible for OS 10.6 and wil my app on my Iphone 3g still work together??

I recommend downloading the free demo version and testing it. Generally speaking, djay 4 for Mac requires 10.5 or newer.
Do you mean djay Remote? Yes, djay Remote also works with djay 4. Please just make sure that to download the latest update via App Store -> Updates.
Also, I recommend running “Software Update…” from the menu on your Mac before downloading the demo version.
