Your question:
Good evening, would anyone here be informing me here ?
I just got a laptop:
Lenovo Thinkpad T470 / i5 7th Gen V pro
Windows 10 / 8gb ram / 256gb ssd.
Do you think it is possible to use this PC to mix with Djay Pro?
Is it powerful enough?
Possible to use Neural Mix and other options with a Hercules Inpulse 500 controller.
Thank you in advance for your help…
Possibly, but Neural Mix Quality will be 80% maximum.
My laptop is of a similar spec and age (Core i7 8750H)
The 8GB of RAM might be a challenge, but Djay Pro on Windows didn’t look that too hungry during my time testing with it on Windows.

Hi @Chanterie_Julien, you can run djay Pro for Windows on any Microsoft Windows 10 (version 1607 or later) or 11 compatible computer. So, your laptop should be fine. However, the faster your processor and more RAM you have, the smoother djay will run. You can always test it out with the free trial of djay to confirm. The Neural Mix quality settings will be automatically limited by djay based on your hardware specs. The Hercules Inpulse 500 is natively supported for djay on Windows as well.

Thank you for your answer…
I tried this, and I think I have a latency problem when I use a lot of effect on the track…
How can I solve this problem?
I have like little sizzling and other strange noises…
Do you have a solution for this?
You’re welcome @Chanterie_Julien,
- Make sure you have installed the latest Windows ASIO drivers for the Hercules Inpulse 500. Please refer to Section 6. Drivers and control panel of the Inpulse 500 User Manual for more details on the ASIO Driver Settings. You will need to make adjustments here for optimal sound quality and latency.

- If after doing the above, you still have too much latency, you can consider disabling Keylock in djay.
- I also recommend reviewing the linked article below to optimize your laptop performance for DJing. In general, it’s a good practice to reboot your laptop before DJing and do not run any other applications in the background while DJing.
