LexiconDJ is Better then Djay Pro Crate Import?

Just Tested LexiconDJ, to export my Serato crates over to DJay Pro.

exporting crates with DJay Pro built in crate export: Results

  • over 5k Missing tracks, that wasnt exported for some reason,

exporting crates with LexiconDJ: Results

  • All my Tracks were imported, including cue points.

I found it hard to believe that DJay Pros built in crate import tool did not do a great Job importing my Serato crates.
Lexicon DJ did more then what I expected better then DJay Pros built in emport tool.

the other thing as well is when I search my tracks in “Playlists” it does not lag or pause, I can actually type in the name and the results show up straight away.

Good Job Christiaan and Lexicon.

Thanks for the feedback @eecy_cee. I will let the team know.

Thx good to know. What are the benefits of using djay collections/playlists over say Apple Library or Serato crates? Is purely the ability to edit Meta data within djay or faster searching? Or reording tracks?

I also use lexicon and haven’t tried the export to djay option as exporting to iTunes xml has been working fine more me within djay

I’m not familliar with Apple Library, but after you edit your id3 and meta data, you need to transfer that across to DJay Pro. and lexicon is one way of doing that. my first go on Lexicon, I got it right, it worked for me.

another thing is if things are working for you and you have no issues then I would’nt do anything differently.
