I wanted to control the audio with the upfaders and the video with the Crossfader independently. I asked ChatGPT and it couldn’t find a solution but I did. So I’d like to share this workaround to separate audio/video mixing. Hope this helps someone.

In Video Mode:

  • Open the center video panel

  • Click “Blend”

  • Enable “Split Audio/Video”

Then go to MIDI mapping and map the Crossfader to Video Crossfader only.

Now:

  • Channel faders control audio

  • Crossfader controls video transitions independently

Works great for video DJ workflows :+1:

Nice work @Simon_Matsuyama. Thanks for sharing!

@Slak_Jaw +1 for this. It would make video DJing so much easier. The crossfader is great for a lot of things, but this feature would be fantastic. A simple way to implement this would be to let video opacity follow the channel volume — this way it would work with both the crossfader and the channel faders.
