Low REV1 jog wheel sensitivity with jog skin

Hi, guys!

I finally received my DDJ REV1 white skin from StyleFlip and the unit got incredibly beautiful with it.

Although, I’m having a problem with the jogs’ skins. After placing them, the sensitivity got very low. The left side is still working (in its’ limit, let’s put it that way), but I got no response on the right side. Even if I use more power against the jog, the music never stops playing and it’s impossible to scratch. And the scratch/vynil mode is ON, by the way.

I read some instructions on the internet to do some tests. For example, I put my left hand finger on the RCA output (to improve grounding) and could manage to get some response, but not good enough yet, it’s very unstable.

Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this problem? As far as I could search, the REV 1 has no hardware adjustment for the jogs sensitivity.

Please help!!! Otherwise, I’ll have to remove those beautiful white jog skins…

Hi @Carlos_Alexandre_Cam, there are no jogwheel touch sensitivity settings in djay. Since the REV1 jogwheels are most likely capacitive touch and not mechanical touch, it’s expected behaviour that the skins interfere with their operation. I recommend that you remove them.
