MAJOR Looping issue & Stability Issue

  • Version of operating system Sequoia 15.1
  • Version of djay 5.2.5
  • Hardware/controllers used REV 5, FLX 10, SR2, RX3

Summary of the issue:
Looping automatically releases for no reason without touching buttons even near it, it’ll happen after the loop happens 2-5 times & happens under 50% of the time, its scary messes up transitions. Also, HGUE stability issue, whether music is on the computer, on SSD external or streaming, I had 12k songs & I started to see it lagging a lot & now I have 20k and its almost unusable but no other software is this bad!! sometimes it’ll speed back up but 85% of the time it stays super laggy so even hitting hot cues happen sooo late, like seconds later its wild. And then even when I type in the search bar, it doesn’t recognize it I guess cause its starts lagging so hard and it thinks I’m doing shortcuts not even though I’m clearly in the search box but instead it’ll activate features like stop / play / play cue, etc. its scary. This is my daily driver for CLUBS and now this is happening ever since the update previous to this. PLEASEEE for the LOVE of DJ GODS, FIX THIS!! I emailed so many times.

I solved the stability issue by turning of iCloud Syncing, unfortunately that was a huge problem caused as I saw on other threads & even for myself personally, it’s so much faster now it’s insane. However the loop still slips out, it happens on its own, I’m trying to reproduce but it’s random, so if I do I’ll try to record it. It’s bad. It happened twice while practicing last night for less than 20 mins

Hi @Kachi, thanks for the update. If you would like to continue using iCloud, please follow the process below to reset the iCloud state:

  1. Quit djay.
  2. Make sure you have a backup of your djay Media Library.djayMediaLibrary file on an external drive or in the cloud.
  3. If you have previously disabled iCloud for djay Pro in System settings, please make sure it is re-enabled for djay Pro.
  4. Open the app Terminal.app
  5. Run this command: defaults write com.algoriddim.djay-iphone-free CMCResetCloudKitState -bool true
  6. Launch djay

This will reset the cloudkit state and should clear up the issue. Thanks!
