I am using both the iOS and Mac version together, sometimes as backup, and sometimes by choice. I would like to use the drum machine from iOS, and the Abelton link is fine, but not very robust. So if they truly worked together, if the IOS worked as an extension for my Djay Pro on Mac, that would truly be a huge new feature.
Serato uses their iPad version as an extension for effects, but the huge benefit in Djay is the beat handeling, so that would in my opinion be a good strategy. Maybe even bring in hardware support for Rolands controllers and/or TR-series.
