Hi,
when I’m in My Collection and do a search in Music or Playlist, when I click the header for BPM, Comment, Grouping, etc…in the Search List window it doesn’t reorder the songs according to the bpm column even if I click bpm reorder in the search bar in my next search it won’t be organized in bpm again. Is there a way to reorder the songs in the Search List according to the header column the same way it works in the Playlist,Music and Folders?
HI @Temitope_Oyebode, ordering is currently supported in grid view only, since it’s more clear how ordering should work.
If you want to order search results, it’s best to activate “Search Playlist”, highlighted with the first arrow in the screenshot. Then you can click the BPM column to order the results.
Yes thanks for the response but this would only search through the current playlist what if I want to search from general crates I would have to uncheck the playlist box in the search bar but it won’t be in the order of BPM although there is this bpm option at d top of the pop-out search I realized I have to keep clicking on the bpm function at the top each time I want to search generally it does not save in the order of bpm its goes back to its default each time i search
Hi @Temitope_Oyebode, thanks for the clarification. On Mac in iTunes/My Collection/My Files source you can switch the search results side panel to column layout by expanding the side panel width. Unfortunately, the sort by BPM option is not sticky and will reset after every search at the moment.
However, I have changed this topic from a Question to a Suggestion and have passed this onto the dev team for consideration. In the meantime, please use the blue vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this feature. Thanks!
i voted for this. i too would like this to happen on windows also. its annoying to scroll back through the list every time to get back to where you left off. even set a “next track” button and it still jumps out.
Thanks for the additional feedback. I’ve added Windows to the topic.
I hope this is still in consideration also because i can’t find this solution in the new launched version
Yes, this is still in consideration.
