Mapping vocal solo to Mixon 8 Talkover Button

i’m wanting to map a single button that I press and it will solo only the vocal on the track I’m playing if I map the mic 2 talk over button, Does anyone think there would be problems? I don’t know how the mixon 8 are wired inside

Hi @Nubium that’s basically what I’ve done with my Mixon 8 mapping. I think it should be fine as long as you don’t have any microphones connected. If you’re using a mic then I suggest you map it and test it out to see what happens.

I do a lot of weddings, and have Mike’s connected so it could be a problem. I’ve decided to use the time/rev button to mute the vocal and the slip/vinyl button to solo the vocal. Thanks for your input

You’re welcome. Yeah, if you use a mic, I would avoid MIDI Mapping these controls to other functions.
