Having played at a few different spaces now, I can say a feature that would be incredibly helpful is the option of a master output EQ at least in the menu somewhere. iOS currently has no system wide EQ (such as sound source on Mac OS), and only allows within the app playing audio. All those EQ apps in the App Store require sound comes from their app; I can’t adjust djays output from outside the app.
It’s possible a EQ feature might add maybe latency or some quality issue but I’ve played at places where we can’t tune their system during sound check (only sound checking volume) and there’s either tin can highs or muddy bass or whatever because of speakers and room dynamics. As of now I can tweak individual channels for every track but that’s a pain to maintain when EQ mixing (not to mention limited with only three bands). Being able to set a master out EQ would be much better and allows DJs to do their own room correction. A parametric EQ would be extra sweet but even like 5-6 frequency ranges would be a god send.
