Match icon/option missing in playlist section

iPad Pro 11” m4
Djay 5.2.9
No device.

The match icon has disappeared from the bottom of the playlist section on iPad. Only options are playlists and sessions.
In a panic i restored a previous version so no pictures sorry.
I usually scroll to the match section using shift + library rotary but it would only give me the two options of sessions and playlists.
A bit odd as the icon is present on my iPhone
iPhone XR
Djay 5.2.9

Hi @daniel_curley, I just checked on my iPad Pro M4, iOS 18.3.1, djay 5.2.9 and the Match icon is visible for me on all music sources. Do you recall which source you were using or anything else that might be important? Also, can you please share a screenshot of how this looks on your older djay version? Thanks!

I’m using my collection.
Here’s a video of how i’ve been doing it for the last year on [5.2.4]

Got it! Thanks for the video. I see what you mean now. Seems like the icon is missing in landscape mode but visible in portrait mode. I’ll let the engineering team know. Thanks!

You can see it in action with a controller here. I’m pressing shift and the rotating the library knob.
Works on all my devices, Denon, Hercules and Reloop. The Denon was already mapped for it but I custom mapped the others.

As always thank you @Slak_Jaw.

You’re welcome @daniel_curley

Hi @daniel_curley, so I spoke with engineering and it turns out that Match being available on the left below the Playlists was actually a bug. This has been fixed in 5.2.9. Match is only supposed to be available on the right with the sidebar open.

Seems like a bit of a step backwards as one could access the feature from a device.
Now you have to poke the screen with you’re finger to access it.
We all desire less interaction with the iPad screen don’t we?

Thanks for the feedback @daniel_curley. I will share this with the devs.

I trust that as it is a bug it’ll be removed from portrait view in the next update.

Actually, portrait mode is a bit different because it doesn’t have a full library view across the bottom like landscape mode. Portrait mode uses a pop-up window like on iPhone, so the Match icon will remain I believe.

Guess I’ll give portrait view a whirl then.
Having related tracks and matched tracks available at the turn of a button is a pretty cool feature.
