Microphone in Djay Pro on windows

Hello
I am using Djay Pro latest version on windows.
I connected my old Vestax Typhoon Controller and mapped the controller and so far so good
My question is about the microphone:
I chose my line in microphone in the setup Audio Devices but I don’t see any microphone icon that I can use in the decks layout
Do I miss anything?
Thank you

Hi @Kay_Trax welcome to the Community! Doesn’t the Typhoon hardware have a Mic button or controls on it?

You shouldn’t need to select anything in the software because in most cases the mic signal doesn’t go through the software. Generally mics in controllers just go through the controller directly to the audio output on the back.

Ha. Ok
Didn’t try to use the microphone in on my vestax typhoon
I will try it
Thank you

You’re welcome @Kay_Trax

Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!

Hi Kay_Trax

I have been trying to get mapping for my Vestax Typhoon. Would you mind sharing?

I also have a problem with windows 10 recognising my controller. Using ASIO4ALL, and my ASIO4TYPHOON.

Would appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

Hi @DJR1, welcome to the Community! Regarding your second question, please try connecting the controller directly to your laptop using a high quality USB cable with dual ferrites on either end. Avoid using adapters or hubs. Also try connecting to a different USB port on your laptop.

Hi, the controller is connected directly to the laptop, tried all ports and original device usb cable. It comes up as “unknown device” indicating no driver found. I have loaded ASIO4TYPHOON (original and the one from the Serato website) and ASIO4ALL driver, however still none work.

Went through the whole windows 10 troubleshoot process with no luck.

Thanks

Thanks for the follow up @DJR1. Sorry that didn’t help. Yes, sounds like a driver issue. Hopefully @Kay_Trax can help out since I don’t have access to this hardware myself.
